| Samuel Fuller was baptized 20 January
1580 in Redenhall, Harleston Co., Norfolk, England.
A Puritan, he immigrated to Leyden, Holland in 1609 to escape religious persecution by the English government. He married Alice Glascock, who died before 1613. Samuel married 2nd to, Agnes Carpenter, daughter of Alexander Carpenter, on 24 April 1613. She bore him one child, who was buried in Leyden on 29 June 1615. Alice died that same year. He married a third time to Bridget Lee, daughter of Josephine Lee. After their marriage, Samuel and Bridget resided near Marepoort. Bridget did not join her husband on the Mayflower, she came over later on the Anne in 1623. Samuel brought with him a servant, William Butten, who died at sea. Samuel was one of the forty-one signers of the Mayflower Compact. He served as a deacon of the church in Leyden, and later in Plymouth. Samuel was a physician and not only tended the sick in Plymouth, but also in Salem. Samuel died in Plymouth before 26 September 1633.
